Euro Travel Insurance for Irish Residents

Euro Travel Insurance
for Republic of Ireland residents, for a Single Trip of up to a maximum of 90 days

		Please give your Travel Insurance requirements:

	Destination area:	1. Europe (see definition of Europe for this insurance) 2. Australia & New Zealand (with 3 days stopover) 3. Worldwide excluding USA, Canada, Caribbean, Bahamas 4. Worldwide (fully) including USA, Canada, Caribbean, Bahamas

	Persons insured:	Adults aged under 66 spouse/partner, tick if included Children aged under 17

	Duration:	Days not nights (count start and end date)

	Important conditions for insurance : You must be permanently resident in your Home country, the Republic of Ireland, and insurance must be taken out BEFORE leaving the Republic of Ireland. Pre-existing conditions are not covered (definition below). With a pre-existing condition the insurance is still effective in all respects except that any loss related to the condition is not covered. Age limits : apply as at the start date of the trip. Adults must be aged under 66. For families, up to 6 dependant children aged under 17 can be included - (6 at the same cost as for 1).

On taking out insurance, you will be sent an email enabling you to download or access this information again, and if, within 14 days, you are not happy with the insurance, you can ask for it to be cancelled and your payment will be refunded in full, provided you have not travelled or used the insurance in any way.

Insurance for Irish residents where trips start from the UK

Children : If children are included, at least one child must be the dependant of an insured adult. Children cannot be insured without adults, however, when children are travelling with adults who are not insured with us, please contact us as we may be able to help.

Duration of trip : The number days must cover the whole duration of the trip and include the day of departure from your Home country. You do not necessarily have to have booked you return journey. If you wish to extend the duration (up to 90 days) whilst you are on the trip, please contact us at least one day before the expiry of the original period.

Group Travel : Please contact us for a quote for Group Travel for holiday or activities abroad, or for cover for sports or activities not listed on our Schedule of Activities.

	For your insurance, Europe is defined as:
	The Continent of Europe west of the Ural Mountains, Madeira, Canary Islands, the Azores, Mediterranean Islands, and non–European countries bordering the Mediterranean. Travel to the following countries (excluding your home country): Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Channel Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Kazakstan (west of Ural River), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation (west of Ural Mountains), San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vatican City. Including all Islands in the Medeterranean, and the Atlantic Islands: Azores (Portugal), Canary Islands (Spain), Madeira (Portugal). Including Non-European countries bordering the Medeterranean: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey.

including Children:

Child, children means person(s) aged 16 years and under at the start of the annual period, or start of trip for single trip insurance. Up to 6 children may be included, and all are at the same price as for one. For annual insurance, all children must be dependants of one or both adults insured. Also, see Travel note below.

For single trip insurance, at least one child must be a dependant of an adult insured, other children need not necessarily be dependants. For long stay backpacker insurance, children are not covered.

Children do not necessarily have to be the offspring of the adult(s) insured.

Your Partner:

Your Partner is your spouse or someone of either sex with whom you have a permanent relationship, and who also lives with you at your Home.

For Single Trip and Annual Insurances, a 10% discount applies to the joint cost of your insurance when you include your spouse or partner.

	Skydiving, Parachuting, Paragliding
	Skydiving and other aerial sports are classified in our High Risk activities category, which provides Medical Emergency and Repatriation cover (only) - as per Schedule (A) of the Policy - for an accident or illness caused by participating in these activities whilst on a trip abroad. There is no extra charge for this, and it is automatically included with the travel insurance, however, as for all High Risk activities the excess (which is the first part of any claim that you pay) is €750 rather than the normal €120 excess for Schedule (A). Normally Irish residents should take out travel insurance for a trip before departure from home in Ireland. However, if you are working temporarily in, or visiting, the UK without travel insurance, and need travel insurance for a trip elsewhere worldwide departing from the UK, it may be difficult to get insured (unless you return home to Ireland first). Therefore, please contact us before taking out this insurance, and we may be able to help.
