• River Rafting, Single Trip - up to 90 days

• River Rafting, Annual Multi-trip Insurance - 31 days any one trip
• River Rafting, Annual Multi-trip Insurance - 90 days any one trip

• River Rafting must be conducted as an organised outing with an authorised rafting provider on a stretch of river approved for rafting by a Local or National authority.
• Holiday Activities Category (1), where the normal medical excess of €120 applies, covers RAFTING for river water grades 1 to 3.
• Medium Risk Activities Category (4), where the higher medical excess of €450 applies, covers (medical and repatriation costs only) RAFTING for river water grade 4.
• Medium Risk Activities Category (5), where the higher medical excess of €750 applies, (medical and repatriation costs only) covers RAFTING for river conditions at grades 5 and 6.
• River Rafting with travel insurance : This is a travel insurance policy, not activity top-up insurance, therefore the period of cover as per your certificate of insurance must be for the whole duration of a trip, not just the period of River Rafting, and normal travel insurance applies when not participating in River Rafting.

Hazardous Adventure Sports
Our Schedule of Schedule of Activities, which is available via the Sports & Activities link above, gives details of the cover provided for all other Holiday and Hazardous Adventure sports and activities covered, and conditions that apply. In conjunction with this Schedule, Section (S) of the policy it sets out certain basic conditions for "safe and normal" participation, such are wearing suitable protective clothing, equipment, or head-gear, and observing the safety procedures normally recommended for the sport.
There is special reference to participating in River Rafting - with the conditions that are also set out in the centre panel of this page.

AGE LIMITS
For Single Trip and Annual options, to maintain our highly competitive rates, we cover only those aged under 66. For families, up to 6 children aged under 17 can be included - (6 at the same cost as for 1).
Long Stay Backpacker is only for adults aged under 40.
