Winter Sports Activities covered:
- Snowboarding and skiing on piste, Ice skating, Mono skiing, Sledging, Tubing;
- Snowboarding and skiing off piste and Cross-country skiing - (see off piste conditions below);
- Skidoo riding and Snow mobiling - excluding Personal Liability cover;
Winter Sports Activities not covered:
- use of skeletons/bobsleighs, acrobatics, stunting, event-racing, heli skiing.

Winter Sports levels of cover: |

Levels of Cover; Schedule of Activities Category (3) and (5):
- (3) Normal Winter Sports category - provides optional cover under Section (P) of the policy for conventional Winter Sports cover, giving medical and repatriation cover at the standard medical excess of €120, and also including cover for Ski Equipment, unused Ski Pack, Piste Closure and Personal Liability. This is available with Single Trip (up to 90 days) and Annual Multi-Trip insurances (limited to 17 days in the annual period). This is not available on Long Stay Backpackers.
- (5) High Risk category is included at no extra charge for all types of insurance - Single Trip (up to 90 days) and Annual Multi-Trip insurances and Long Stay Backpackers, giving medical and repatriation cover only, and at the higher medical excess of €750. There is no limit on the period of participation.
- Medical costs include being taken from where the injury occurred to a suitable hospital for emergency medical treatment, as approved by our Emergency Service. Cover also includes Search & Rescue under Section (T) of the policy.

Skiing and Snowboarding Off Piste - special conditions: |
|
| |
Within designated safe areas: Off Piste Skiing and boarding within areas that are designated as being safe by the resort management is not covered
(excluded) unless the following requirements are adhered to:
(a) 'Check out' and 'check in' ie. you must let somebody know where you are going, how many are in the group, and when you are likely to return, and report back accordingly;
(b) A minimum of four people to ski together in a group;
(c) Avalanche transceivers must be worn.
Outside designated safe areas: Off Piste Skiing and boarding outside areas that are designated as being safe by the resort management is not covered
(excluded) unless the following requirements are adhered to:
the reguirements as detailed (a), (b), (c) above, and you must be accompanied by a qualified mountain guide who has knowledge of the resort.

IMPORTANT CONDITIONS:
Ensure that weather conditions and official forecasts of conditions are suitable for 'safe and normal' participation for your level of experience. Wear all the recommended safety gear.
Cover is for participation as an amateur to amateur competition level.
Optional Winter Sports:
The additional cost for (3) Normal Winter sports for Single Trip (up to 90 days) is 50%, and Annual Multi-trip Insurance 31 days any one trip is 10%. Cover is included in the cost of the Annual Multi-trip Insurance 90 days any one trip.
Age Limits:
- For Single Trip and Annual options, those aged under 66
- Long Stay Backpacker is only for adults aged under 40.
