Home Country is defined as - the country where an insured person(s) has his/her true, fixed and permanent home and principal establishment.

Who is eligible? : Individuals and familiies when outside their home country, adults aged over 18 (ages 80+, maximum medical is limited), and children - unmarried dependent children aged over 14 days and under 19 years.

Effective date online coverage begins on the latest of: (1) the moment you depart from your Home Country, or (2) the Effective Date entered on the completed online application.

Period of coverage is 6 months or 12 months maximum (depending on policy), may be purchased in days or months with daily increments.

Continuing coverage is an option to continue or extend cover up to total 6 months or 12 months maximum (depending on policy), beyond the initial period of cover up to a total of 6 months or 12 months from the original effective date.

'Hazardous Sports' Coverage Additional 15% is charged optionally to cover patricipating as an amateur, and non-competitive: motorcycle/motor scooter riding (whether as rider or passenger), hang gliding and paragliding, parachuting (including skydiving), bungee jumping, water skiing, snow skiing, snowmobiling, snow boarding. (Liaison Internation also includes Spelunking in this definition).

Scuba diving use of underwater breathing apparatus is not covered unless you are PADI or NAUI certified.

Non-Hazardous Sports are covered at no extra charge for non-competitive participation, being all sports EXCLUDING: the 'Hazardous Sports' mentioned above, mountaineering, uncertified Scuba Diving, and racing by horse or motor vehicle or motorcycle.

SEVEN CORNERS TRAVEL MEDICAL INSURANCES

• All coverages and plan costs are in US dollar amounts.
• Cancellation prior to departure is not covered.
• Cover for baggage and personal belongings is minimal in comparison with normal UK and Irish travel insurance, limited to $250 for loss of checked luggage.

Medical maximum is the limit of coverage for Medical Expenses, and when getting a quote it can be varied between $1,000,000 and $50,000 to reduce or increase the cost, except for aged over 65 where it is limited to $50,000 (Majestic $60,000).

Deductible is the amount (excess) of any claim that you pay, and when getting a quote it can be varied to reduce or increase the cost.

Coinsurance applies for Non-USA residents visiting United States and Canada, whereby the plan only pays a portion of medical costs. There are two options for coinsurance levels in this respect for Liaison® International.
