Being aged 17 : Children aged 16 or under cannot travel independently but are eligible to be included in the insurance of parents or adults with whom they will travel. The age limit for adults under our travel insurance begins at age 17, which is ideal for those of that age who need to travel independently.

Healthcare considerations in Egypt
Egypt is particularly attractive for holidays in the sun, with the added enjoyment of tasting authentic Egyptian dishes such as: Bamya, kofta, basbusa, swarma, and kishk, washed down with non-alcholic drinks that Egypt is famous for. Unfortunately, the chance of being involved in motor or other accident in Egypt, or contracting a bug or illness is far greater than when being at home in UK or Ireland. Hospitals in Egypt have many skilled staff trained in central Europe, so if needs be adequate care is possible, but if you become seriously ill or have an accident in Egypt, can you pay for that - without travel insurance? - probably NO. Egypt has no reciprocal healthcare arrangements with the UK or Ireland, therefore travel insurance is essential to cover emergency medical treatment and repatriation costs.
